Kari Solomon Brown was born in Lake Forest, Illinois, on September 8, 1970, and resided in the state of Florida since the age of five. She attended Tampa Preparatory High School where she graduated in 1988. Kari graduated from the University of Florida in 1992 and went on to graduate from the Stetson University College of Law in 1997. She is married to a local attorney and has two teenaged children along with Buster, a rescue dog from the Pet Resource Center.
Kari first developed her passion for family law when she served as a Guardian Ad Litem for an abused child who suffered life-threatening injuries at the hands of her Mother, during law school. For almost two decades, Kari tirelessly serves as a zealous and resourceful advocate for her clients, guiding men and women through the many emotionally and physically taxing aspects of a family law case. Kari analyzes and approaches each case differently, and never takes the cynical approach that each case is the same. She recognizes how important it is to spend a great deal of time with her clients to explain each step of the case process, the laws and how it affects the facts of the case, and critically, prepare the case with the client input.
Kari’s deep commitment to her clients enables her to serve them in a powerful way, protecting their interests and assisting them in meeting their goals in their cases, whether it resolves prior to litigation, or proceeds to Court for decision by a Judge. Life changing legal issues require representation that will guide clients to best meet their objectives for themselves and their families, where applicable. Kari believes that it is paramount to first determine all possibilities of settlement. If settlement is not a likely result, Kari is a seasoned family law litigator who handled hundreds of hearings and trials to date.
Kari Brown has a very strong commitment to protecting children who are possibly suffering from abuse or neglect, whether it is emotional or physical. Kari received her certification as a Guardian Ad Litem where she advocates for the best interests of children in family law cases in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk Counties.
Kari’s extensive knowledge of local court systems and Florida Family Law has established her as a highly recognized attorney in the Tampa community and one of the “10 Best Attorneys in Florida” in 2018 based on Client Satisfaction (American Institute of Family Law Attorneys).
Attorney Kari Brown’s commitment to the Tampa Bay community is steadfast. With passion and vigor, she acts as a Guardian Ad Litem, serving on a volunteer basis in Hillsborough County, specifically, the Juvenile Dependency Division for foster children who have been abused or neglected. Kari actively supports charities such as the Humane Society of the United States, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and Best Friends Society. Kari further recognizes the great contributions by our police officers, firefighters, nurses, school teachers, and military, and by showing her gratitude, she offers a discounted hourly rate.
